The basics
The term stands for Self-Insured Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan. It is an employer-sponsored arrangement for eligible medical care, rather than a health insurance policy. The program team explains the proposed structure, payroll treatment and required documentation during your review.
The program is designed to complement your existing health plan and broker relationship. Your review should confirm how the additional services fit with the coverage and support your employees already have.
Savings and costs
The published program figure is up to $640 per enrolled employee per year. Your projected net savings depend on payroll, enrollment, eligibility, plan terms and program costs. A personalized analysis should explain the assumptions and the amount your business could retain. Savings are not guaranteed.
Review the proposed program and administration costs alongside the expected payroll savings. The program is intended to fund those costs through savings, but your company should evaluate its own net result before deciding to enroll.
Employee care
Available services include virtual primary care, virtual urgent care, mental wellness support, covered generic medications and supervised weight wellness. Services, eligibility and availability depend on program terms. Explore the wellness benefits.
No. Virtual urgent care is for appropriate everyday illnesses and non-emergency concerns. It does not replace emergency services, hospital care or your health insurance. Use emergency services for a medical emergency.
No. No-cost medication benefits apply to eligible prescriptions on the program’s covered medication list and through participating pharmacies. Review coverage and pharmacy requirements for any medication you use; do not assume every prescription is included.
This service offers professional support for weight and wellness goals through scheduled visits and coaching. Ask which services are available under your plan. Participation does not mean that every treatment or weight-loss medication is covered.
